How fresh is the data, and when does it update?

Gecko Edge works off live data, at two speeds. Variable metrics such as odds update every few seconds, while more stable information (recent form, xG, and similar) is managed and cross-checked in our database regularly. Any change in the data triggers a full re-modelling of the match or market, so calculations can update multiple times throughout a day.

Freshness therefore depends on when you run the analysis, not on a scheduled update. Run the same fixture in the morning and again before kick-off and the numbers can differ, because the second run had more to work with. For live matches, the in-play statistics flow continuously, and each in-play analysis reflects the game as it stands at that minute.

The Sanity Score gives you confidence in not only the bet but also the accuracy and frequency of the data behind it. For example, the data freshness component confirms whether the odds have been checked within the last 5 minutes for pre-match markets; a delay in the odds feeds shows up as a lower score. One other thing worth knowing: cup matches that bring together teams from different leagues can make some analysis more variable, since the data context is thinner than for a routine league fixture.
